A striker with a consistent goalscoring record, east Londoner Martell Taylor-Crossdale has mostly featured as a front player either out wide or through the middle. He is a player from our development centre programme who played for England Under-17s and made his youth team debut in the 2015/16 season.
His maiden campaign as a scholar started well with eight goals in the opening five games a sign of things to come. The striker eventually went on to notch 21 league goals, including two hat-tricks, as he claimed the Under-18 Premier League golden boot. He was also the most-used youth team player as our youngsters claimed a remarkable Treble and made his development squad debut in the Football League Trophy in September 2016.
An England Under-18 international, Martell was part of the squad that won the Toulon Tournament in June 2017. Following his 17th birthday on Boxing Day, he signed a two-and-a-half year maiden professional contract at the club.

A diminutive and pacey striker, Islam Feruz arrived at Chelsea from Celtic in the summer of 2011 and grabbed attention almost immediately as he led the line up front for our FA Youth Cup side while still an Under-16, scoring six goals in eight games as Adi Viveash’s side went on to win the competition.
His exploits in the league campaign were equally impressive, with 12 goals in 21 appearances, including a strike on his debut against Portsmouth in October. That form was rewarded with an Under-21 debut against Arsenal in December 2011 and he went on to hit two goals against Norwich the following month.
After then he featured predominantly for the Under-21s over the two years of his scholarship, capable of leading the line up front, supporting from out wide or dropping slightly deeper in the ‘No.10’ role. His goalscoring continued to mark him out as a good prospect, with 2012/13 producing 18 goals in 28 games, including seven in nine NextGen Series matches. He was the competition’s joint-top goalscorer following strikes against Barcelona, Arsenal and Juventus.
Short but sharp with an electric turn of pace and able to get a shot in early, Feruz started the 2013/14 season with three goals in the opening three Under-21 league games and he contributed strongly to an eventual league triumph. He scored the opener in our semi-final play-off victory over Manchester City, before supplying for Lewis Baker’s winner at Old Trafford in the final.
On transfer deadline day at the start of September 2014 it was announced he would spend the season on loan at Greek top-flight side OFI Crete, managed at that stage by former Italy and AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso.
On 16 January 2015, he joined Championship side Blackpool on loan and on 1 September 2015 he moved back to Scotland for a loan at Hibernian. He returned to Chelsea in January 2016 and was then loaned to Belgian side Royal Mouscron in the summer. He made eight appearances there before switching to join League One Swindon Town on loan in January 2017, along with fellow Blues Charlie Colkett and Fankaty Dabo. He made four appearances there.
Feruz has regularly featured for Scottish national sides above his age group, playing in the Under-16 Victory Shield at the age of just 13 and he became the country’s youngest ever Under-21 international a month after his Under-17 debut in March 2012. After being called up for the Under-19s for the game against Switzerland in October 2012, he scored a hat-trick in a 4-3 win.

Harvey St Clair signed as an Under-8 and has tended to play wide-left or wide-right, from where he likes to run forward dangerously with the ball at his feet. He missed much of the 2014/15 season through injury but was a regular for Joe Edwards's youth team in his debut campaign as a scholar, scoring eight goals.
A Scotland Under-19 international, the winger signed a first professional contract in June 2016 committing him to the club until summer 2018. He featured regularly throughout our Treble-winning Under-18 season in 2016/17 and moved into the development squad as the campaign progressed.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is an attacking player who joined the club during his Under-8 year and has regularly been a scorer and creator of goals throughout his schoolboy years. He is a very talented, skilful individual who can play on the wing or as a number 10.
A regular with our youth team last season, he played a key role in our Treble-winning success, including goals in the fifth round, semi-final and final of the Youth Cup. Although still a schoolboy, he represented England Under-17s at the European Championship for that age group, scoring in the final as the young Lions were ultimately beaten on penalties by Spain.

Kylian Hazard

Kylian Hazard signed for Chelsea from Hungarian side Ujpest in August 2017.
The 22-year-old, a younger brother of Eden, is an attacking midfielder who started his professional career in his native Belgium, first with White Star Brussels and then Zulte-Waregem. He joined Ujpest in the summer of 2015 and played 42 times for them.

Miro signed from FC Zurich in the summer of 2014. He is an attacking player, predominantly left-sided though he can play on the right or in the ‘number 10’ role. He made his youth team debut in September 2014 and went on to score five times in his first four starts for Joe Edwards’s side, ending the campaign with 11 goals in total.
In 2015/16, Muheim was a youth team regular as we won the south section of the league for a second year running. He also made four appearances, scoring once, as our Under-19s retained their UEFA Youth League title.
After a handful of appearances for the development squad at the start of the following season, the winger moved back to FC Zurich for the second half of the campaign. A Switzerland Under-19 international, Muheim signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2015, committing himself to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Ruben has been at the club since the Under-8 age group and is a central midfielder, though his versatility has often been utilised in defence. He made his youth team debut as an Under-15 in 2012/13 before going on to make 15 appearances while still a schoolboy the following campaign.
In his debut season as a scholar, he made more appearances for Joe Edwards’s Under-18s than any other player and scored his first goal in a 6-4 win over Tottenham in March. He played twice in the successful UEFA Youth League campaign, featured in every FA Youth Cup tie from the quarter-final onwards and made his Under-21 debut.
Sammut was a mainstay of the youth team as they won the south section of the league for the second year running in 2015/16. He also featured in all eight Youth Cup ties en route to another final success and made two substitute appearances in our triumphant UEFA Youth League campaign.
The midfielder was a regular with the development squad the following season and made his Scotland Under-21 debut. He signed a new contract in August 2016 committing him to the club for a further two years.

Luke McCormick has been training with the club since he was six years-old and signed as an Under-8 through our development centre programme. He was predominantly a striker in his early time at the Academy but has featured in a variety of positions more recently, including out wide, in central midfield and at right-back.
In 2015/16, he featured regularly for the youth team, predominantly in a central midfield role. He scored his only goal of the season from the penalty spot in a 6-2 win over Reading in April 2016 and also made his Under-21 debut before the end of the campaign.
The following season, he made 30 youth team appearances, including three in the Youth Cup, as our Under-18s won a Treble of trophies. His goalscoring form peaked with five goals in three games in the spring, including a hat-trick in our 13-0 victory over Brighton. In February 2017, the midfielder signed a first professional contract at the club until the end of 2017/18.

Jacob signed from Bristol City at the end of his Under-14 year. He is an attacking midfield player who can play in the ‘number 10’ position but mainly features slightly deeper and enjoys running forward with the ball at his feet. A player who creates lots of chances, he has represented England up to Under-20 level and made four appearances for our youth team in his last year as a schoolboy, the 2014/15 season.
In his debut season as a scholar, he was a prominent member of the Under-18s squad that won the south section of the league for the second year running. He also featured in every game as we won the FA Youth Cup for the third year running, scoring three goals including a brace as a substitute against AFC Wimbledon. The midfielder picked up a UEFA Youth League winners medal, making eight appearances, and made his Under-21s debut.
2016/17 saw the Bristol-born midfielder split his duties between the youth team and development squad. His performances in central midfield were instrumental in our Treble-winning Under-18 season and he capped off the campaign with a winner's medal at the Under-19 European Championship with England.
Maddox signed his first professional contract in November 2015, committing himself to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Isaac signed from Brighton as an Under-11 and is a box-to-box central midfielder who can score goals. He made his youth team debut while still an Under-15 in 2012/13 before going on to feature in 10 games the following season, scoring his first goal against Newcastle in April.
He was a regular in Joe Edwards’s team in his first campaign as a scholar and proved to be a frequent threat from midfield, netting a dozen league goals including memorable strikes against former club Brighton and Southampton.
Issac continued to feature prominently for the Under-18s in 2015/16 as the youngsters won the south section of the league for the second year running, while he missed just one game as we won the FA Youth Cup once again. The youngster made a dozen appearances as our Under-19s retained the UEFA Youth League, while also featuring for the first time for the Under-21s.
In 2016/17, he worked solely with the development squad and started our maiden fixture in the Checkatrade Trophy against Swindon. A former England Under-17 international, he signed a new one-year contract in the summer of 2017.

Juan Castillo is a player who was signed from Ajax in the summer of 2016. He played in central midfield and as a winger in his younger schoolboy days, while also featured at wing-back in his debut campaign as a Chelsea scholar.
A former captain of Ajax and the Netherlands, he has represented his country at Under-17 level, including at the European Championship for that age group in May 2017. Through hard work and application, he forced his way into our Youth Cup side as the campaign progressed, starting both legs of the semi-final and final, and scoring the ninth goal in our 9-2 aggregate thrashing of Tottenham. He ended the season with winners medals in the Youth Cup and Under-18 Premier League.
In January 2017, he signed a first professional contract at the club until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

Cole signed as an Under-12 along with his older brother Jay and twin brother Rio from Luton Town. Originally deployed as a left-winger, he is now used predominantly as a full-back and can play on either side due to his quality with either foot.
He has represented Wales up to the Under-20 age group and played nine times for our youth team in the 2014/15 season when still a schoolboy. In 2015/16, he featured often as Joe Edwards's side won the south section of the Under-18 Premier League and also made his Under-21 debut.
The defender was a regular during the following season, offering versatility as a full-back or wing-back in differing systems. In April 2017, he emulated his older brother Jay by scoring in a Youth Cup final, the final goal in our 6-2 aggregate win over Manchester City. Later in the summer, he featured for Wales at the Toulon Tournament and signed a new contract committing himself to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Dujon Sterling is a north London boy who came through the development centre programme. He is a defensive player with attacking qualities and played in a number of positions throughout the team during his schoolboy years.
As an Under-16, he was an FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League winner, scoring three goals including in the 2016 Youth Cup final. He repeated that achievement with a goal in the final the following season, although he spent much of the campaign with the development squad, utilising his speed, power and adaptability to feature as wing-back, winger and central midfielder as well as full-back.
Sterling capped an impressive debut season as a scholar by helping England to triumph at the Under-19 European Championship and signed his first professional contract in October 2016, commiting him to the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Josh Grant signed as an Under-8 and liked to play up front in his younger years, before his defensive qualities came to the fore and he was moved further back. He is a committed, tough-tackling, powerful defender who featured across the backline for the youth team when a schoolboy in the 2014/15 season, making a total of 24 appearances.
In his debut campaign as a scholar, Grant captained the youth team in the league as they won the south section for a second year running. He made five appearances as we won the FA Youth Cup for a third successive season and also featured as our Under-19s retained their European title, before making his Under-21 debut before the end of the season. At the end of the campaign, he was awarded the Scholar of the Year award.
He signed a first-year professional contract in October 2015, committing himself to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season, and made an England Under-18 debut in June 2016. The defender was a regular in our Treble-winning Under-18 season in 2016/17, making four appearances as we won the Youth Cup once again.

Ali is a Bosnian-Swede who joined the club in the summer of 2014. A right-sided centre-back, he made 15 appearances in his debut season as a scholar, scoring for the youth team against West Brom and Fulham. He made his Under-21 debut in the Premier League International Cup in February 2015, when he got himself on the scoresheet once again.
Suljic was a regular in Joe Edwards's youth team in 2015/16 and made two appearances as our Under-19s successfully defended their UEFA Youth League crown.
A Sweden youth international who played in the Under-17 World Cup, he missed the following campaign with a long-term injury before signing a new one-year contract in the summer of 2017.

Joseph Colley is a defender from Sweden who joined in the summer of 2015 from IF Brommapojkarna in his homeland. He’s a right-sided, powerful defender, comfortable also playing on the left, who likes to bring the ball out of defence.
In his debut season as a scholar, Joseph was a regular for the youth team as they won the south section of the league for the second year running. He made his FA Youth Cup debut as a substitute in the semi-final against Blackburn Rovers and made three appearances in the UEFA Youth League as our Under-19s retained their European title.
Colley has represented Sweden Under-17s, captaining the side at the European Championship finals for that age group in May 2016 and then featuring for the Under-19s in the same tournament the following summer. In 2016/17, he split his time between the youth team and development squad, appearing twice in our successful FA Youth Cup campaign.
In summer 2016, the defender signed a first professional contract that commits him to the club until 2019.

Trevoh is the younger brother of Nathaniel Chalobah, another Academy graduate, and signed as an Under-9. He played predominantly in defence throughout his schoolboy years, mostly at right-back and centre-back but also occasionally in midfield. Captain of our Under-16 side in the 2014/15 season, he also wore the armband for England at the same age group as they won the Montaigu Tournament. He featured on 10 occasions for our youth team that year when still a schoolboy and made his Under-21 debut.
In 2015/16, Chalobah featured in every game en route to another FA Youth Cup final success and was a regular in our Under-19s team that retained their UEFA Youth League title. The following campaign saw him step up as a development squad regular, starting 25 of the 28 games at that age group. He also featured in all eight ties and scored semi-final and final goals as we won the Youth Cup for a fourth year running.
A regular throughout the England age groups, he captained the Under-17s at the European Championship for that age group in 2016 before winning the Under-19 version of the tournament in 2017. The defender signed a first professional contract in June 2016, committing him to the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Wallace

Wallace

Wallace signed for Chelsea in the January 2013 transfer window, and was immediately loaned back to former club Fluminense until the end of the season.
An attacking right-back, he made his senior debut in Brazil as a 17-year-old, helping Fluminense to the 2012 Brazilian league championship, the Rio State League and Guanabara Cup.
Wallace was part of the Brazil squad that won the South American Under-17 championship in 2011, and helped his country to a fourth-placed finish at the World Cup in Mexico at the same level, playing alongside Lucas Piazon. He later bacame an Under-20 international,
Wallace played his first games in a Chelsea shirt during our summer tour of Asia in July 2013, impressing with his quick feet and willingness to join attacks.
He signed for Inter Milan on loan in August 2013 and spent a year with the Serie A side, featuring infrequently. In the 2014/15 season he was on loan at Vitesse Arnhem where he played 16+7 games, scoring once.
He spent the first half of the 2015/16 season on loan in Serie A, playing for newly-promoted Carpi, before moving back to his homeland with a loan to Gremio until June 2017. He made 11 appearances for the Brazilian club.

Reece James is a graduate of our development centre programme and has been training with us since the age of six. He started out mostly as a striker before moving further back into midfield and defence. A right-footed player, he made his youth team debut while still a schoolboy in 2015/16 before becoming a key figure in our Treble-winning Under-18 season the following year.
His versatility was a key attribute as he featured at right-back, wing-back and in a central defensive back three throughout the campaign, playing in every game as the Youth Cup was successfully retained and scoring a brilliant header in the semi-final at White Hart Lane.
In March 2017, James signed a first professional contract at the club which runs until the end of the 2018/19 campaign, before helping England to triumph at the Toulon Tournament in the summer.
