Marcel Lavinier

Marcel Lavinier is a defender signed as an Under-8 through our development centre programme who grew up close to Stamford Bridge. He is a good one-v-one defender and likes to tackle. Equally comfortable on the right or centre of defence, he has represented England at Under-16 level and was on standby for the Under-17 European Championship this summer.

Marc Guehi has been with Chelsea since the Under-8 age group and played most of his schoolboy-level football at right-back or centre-half. A right-footed player, he captained England Under-17s to within seconds of the European Championship title in the summer of 2017 and has since made his debut for the Under-18s.
A committed defender with a good attitude, he represented the youth team as both an Under-15 and Under-16 schoolboy, before featuring regularly in our Treble-winning Under-18 campaign in 2016/17.

Jack Wakely

Jack Wakely is a tall, strong, two-footed centre-back from High Wycombe who joined as an Under-9. He has a fantastic attitude and maturity, which he uses to excel both academically and on the pitch, and was involved as an unused substitute for the youth team last season. He can play anywhere across the back three or either side of the centre-back pairing.

Tariq Lamptey has been with us since the Under-7 age group having progressed through our development centre programme. He is a diminutive, fast and tenacious player who can operate in any defensive or attacking role on the right side and made his youth team debut at the end of last season away at Manchester City.
He signed a first professional contract in September 2017 committing him to the club until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Tariq Uwakwe is a north London boy who plays mostly as a central midfielder. A versatile player and a quiet boy off the field, he made six appearances for the Under-18s in 2015/16, his season prior to becoming a scholar.
The following campaign saw the teenager play a far more prominent role in the side as our youngsters tasted success in three different competitions. He missed just one game in the Youth Cup triumph and scored the only goal of the game as we beat Liverpool 1-0 away in the league merit round, a key result in our title-winning run.
After turning 17, Tariq signed a first professional contract at the club until the end of 2018/19. He made his England Under-19 debut in a 7-1 victory over Poland in September 2017.

Clinton Mola

Clinton Mola joined following a successful trial as an Under-14 player after he was scouted playing local grassroots football in north London. Initially a left-winger, he has also played at left-back and centre-back. An England Under-17 international, his versatility down the left side is a big attribute.

Conor Gallagher is a local boy who played mostly wide during his Under-16 season and as a central midfield player in his earlier schoolboy years. He has a couple of brothers who have been scholars at other clubs so comes from a football family who are big Chelsea supporters. A development centre graduate, he has been training with Chelsea since the age of six and is a team player with a great attitude.
He made 31 appearances in his first season as a scholar, including two as a substitute in the Youth Cup, and made his development squad debut in March 2017. Among his five goals for the Under-18s, he crucially broke the deadlock in our title decicder against Reading, kicking off the Cobham celebrations. In March 2017, Gallagher signed a first professional contract at the club that runs until the summer of 2019.

Jon Russell has been with us since the Under-7 age group after advancing through our development centre programme. He is a very tall box-to-box midfield player who can also play as a number 10 and has a great eye for a pass.

George McEachran

George McEachran has been training with Chelsea from the start of his Under-8 year and is the youngest in his age group. A left-footed attacking player, he played mostly in midfield or in the number 10 position while progressing through the age groups prior to a couple of years featuring on the left wing, right wing as well as a loose striker.
The younger brother of Josh, he made five youth team appearances while still a schoolboy before featuring as a regular in his first season as a scholar, including appearances in all but one of our Youth Cup ties as we lifted the trophy for the sixth time in eight years. Among his half-dozen goals during the campaign, a last-minute winner in the league merit round against Manchester United at Cobham proved decisive in our push for the national title.
George has represented England up to Under-18 level and played every game at the European Championship for that age group in May 2017 as the young Lions lost the final to Spain on penalties. He signed his first professional contract on his 17th birthday, commiting him to the club until summer 2019.

Billy Gilmour is a midfielder who joins us this summer from Glasgow Rangers, where he has been since the age of eight. He is a technical individual with good game intelligence and awareness who creates plenty of goals and chances for his team-mates. A Scotland Under-17 international, he can play anywhere in midfield and is our first signing from north of the border for a number of years.

Charlie Brown is a left-footed attacking player signed from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2016. He played in the FA Youth Cup and represented the Under-21s for the Tractor Boys as an Under-16 schoolboy, scoring in the latter.
Following his move south, Charlie enjoyed a prolific maiden season for the Blues in front of goal, notching 10 goals in 20 league appearances, most of which were as a substitute. His impact from the bench was highlighted in February when he scored four goals as a second-half introduction against Brighton.
He was rewarded with a development squad debut and a first professional contract at the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Daishawn Redan is a striker who joins us this summer from Ajax. He is a versatile forward who can also play wide-left or as a number 10 and has represented the Netherlands up to Under-17 level. An Amsterdam boy, he has developed an incredible habit of scoring goals throughout his schoolboy years.

Jon Panzo is a talented player who can play in a number of positions including left-back and centre-back. He is a London boy who came in as an Under-9 trial player and made his youth team and development squad debuts last season, as well as playing regularly for England Under-17s.

Karlo Ziger is a Croatian goalkeeper who joins us this summer. A strong keeper and good shot-stopper, he is always hard to beat and has a fantastic work ethic and attitude to continually develop his game.

Nicolas Tie is a goalkeeper from France who joins us this summer from an amateur club in his homeland. He is a fast, tall and athletic keeper who moves quickly around his box and has very good reactions.

A striker with a consistent goalscoring record, east Londoner Martell Taylor-Crossdale has mostly featured as a front player either out wide or through the middle. He is a player from our development centre programme who played for England Under-17s and made his youth team debut in the 2015/16 season.
His maiden campaign as a scholar started well with eight goals in the opening five games a sign of things to come. The striker eventually went on to notch 21 league goals, including two hat-tricks, as he claimed the Under-18 Premier League golden boot. He was also the most-used youth team player as our youngsters claimed a remarkable Treble and made his development squad debut in the Football League Trophy in September 2016.
An England Under-18 international, Martell was part of the squad that won the Toulon Tournament in June 2017. Following his 17th birthday on Boxing Day, he signed a two-and-a-half year maiden professional contract at the club.

Harvey St Clair signed as an Under-8 and has tended to play wide-left or wide-right, from where he likes to run forward dangerously with the ball at his feet. He missed much of the 2014/15 season through injury but was a regular for Joe Edwards's youth team in his debut campaign as a scholar, scoring eight goals.
A Scotland Under-19 international, the winger signed a first professional contract in June 2016 committing him to the club until summer 2018. He featured regularly throughout our Treble-winning Under-18 season in 2016/17 and moved into the development squad as the campaign progressed.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is an attacking player who joined the club during his Under-8 year and has regularly been a scorer and creator of goals throughout his schoolboy years. He is a very talented, skilful individual who can play on the wing or as a number 10.
A regular with our youth team last season, he played a key role in our Treble-winning success, including goals in the fifth round, semi-final and final of the Youth Cup. Although still a schoolboy, he represented England Under-17s at the European Championship for that age group, scoring in the final as the young Lions were ultimately beaten on penalties by Spain.

Luke McCormick

Luke McCormick has been training with the club since he was six years-old and signed as an Under-8 through our development centre programme. He was predominantly a striker in his early time at the Academy but has featured in a variety of positions more recently, including out wide, in central midfield and at right-back.
In 2015/16, he featured regularly for the youth team, predominantly in a central midfield role. He scored his only goal of the season from the penalty spot in a 6-2 win over Reading in April 2016 and also made his Under-21 debut before the end of the campaign.
The following season, he made 30 youth team appearances, including three in the Youth Cup, as our Under-18s won a Treble of trophies. His goalscoring form peaked with five goals in three games in the spring, including a hat-trick in our 13-0 victory over Brighton. In February 2017, the midfielder signed a first professional contract at the club until the end of 2017/18.

Jacob Maddox

Jacob signed from Bristol City at the end of his Under-14 year. He is an attacking midfield player who can play in the ‘number 10’ position but mainly features slightly deeper and enjoys running forward with the ball at his feet. A player who creates lots of chances, he has represented England up to Under-20 level and made four appearances for our youth team in his last year as a schoolboy, the 2014/15 season.
In his debut season as a scholar, he was a prominent member of the Under-18s squad that won the south section of the league for the second year running. He also featured in every game as we won the FA Youth Cup for the third year running, scoring three goals including a brace as a substitute against AFC Wimbledon. The midfielder picked up a UEFA Youth League winners medal, making eight appearances, and made his Under-21s debut.
2016/17 saw the Bristol-born midfielder split his duties between the youth team and development squad. His performances in central midfield were instrumental in our Treble-winning Under-18 season and he capped off the campaign with a winner's medal at the Under-19 European Championship with England.
Maddox signed his first professional contract in November 2015, committing himself to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.
